A teenage girl from High Wycombe who lives with a genetic condition that causes a severe speech disorder and neurological processing was recently invited to attend a concert at Westminster Abbey.
Holly Shaw, 14, who is supported by Action for Children’s short breaks service within the town, visited the historical building to watch the Royal Christmas Carol service, along with her parents, Louise and John.
Attendees were nominated by lord-lieutenants across the nation, in addition to charities associated with members of the royal family.

They were joined by those working in the early years - a key focus area of the Princess of Wales' work through The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.
The audience consisted of those who may have had a challenging year, including children and families, or those who might find the winter period difficult.
And Holly was nominated to attend the event.

Her mother, Lousie said: “We were delighted to attend the carol concert on behalf of Action for Children.
The service, supported by The Royal Foundation, honoured those who work to support babies, young children and families in communities across the UK.
A recording of the event will be shown on Christmas Eve on ITV2.
