Gareth Ainsworth believes Wycombe ‘haven’t had any favours from officials this year.’

Speaking after his side drew 2-2 at Swansea on April 17, the ex-Cardiff man was adamant that Wanderers should have had a penalty when the score was level at 0-0 in the first-half.

In what was Wycombe’s first attack of the match, Admiral Muskwe cut inside on his left foot to shoot seven-yards away from goal.

However, his effort was blocked by one of the Swansea players, with Wycombe suggesting that the ball had hit an arm.

Huge appeals from the Wanderers players and bench followed, but no spot-kick was given.

Replies showed that the ball did strike a Swans arm, but it was not clear if it deliberate or an accident.

He said: “We haven’t had any favours from officials this year if I am being totally honest.

“No-one in particular as I thought Keith Stroud was very good today [April 17], but if I am honest, I've been disappointed with the decisions that have gone against us.

“I’m always going to say it feels like ‘it’s small Wycombe, it doesn’t really matter’, but believe me, it does matter and I think we are four, five, six points shy of where we would be if those decisions [going for Wycombe].”

Wycombe remain bottom but are now on 34 points following the draw at the Liberty – nine points away from safety with four games to go.
