Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Newcastle United midfielder Jack Young.

Young, 21, joins the Chairboys on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

He becomes the second play to be signed by the Adams Park outfit this month, following Lewis Wing’s arrival from Middlesbrough.

Boss Gareth Ainsworth said: "Jack has been recommended to us as a young lad worth taking a look at and he'll give us extra depth in midfield between now and the end of the season.

"Newcastle and ourselves believe that he'll benefit around a first-team environment and we're looking forward to working with him to develop his game."

Meanwhile, Connor Parsons has returned to Adams Park following a loan spell with Notts County, where he played twice.
