A VILLAGE was alive with the sound of music and laughter at the weekend as a festival held at a primary school entertained hundreds of people.

More than 900 people turned out for this year’s JuniperFest, in Churchill Close, Flackwell Heath, which was organised by the PTA of Juniper Hill School.

People of all ages were able to enjoy the festival atmosphere with a number of music stages and games on offer.

Headlining the day was The Midnight Rebel Band. They were supported by a number of acts including Komodo Krimes, Genie and The Jive Bombers, Crinkle Cuts and Rock Doctors.

There were also areas for refreshments and lots of other entertainment to keep the crowd happy during the daylong event held on Saturday, June 21.

Chair of the Friends of Juniper Hill (school’s PTA), Natalie Hughes, said: “JuniperFest was a great success. Over 900 people attended and had a fantastic time.

“There was great music in a wonderfully happy, family friendly atmosphere. We're still adding up the final numbers but it looks like it's been a fantastic fundraiser for the school.

“All profits will be put towards a climbing wall as part of the playground improvement project at the school.”
