Record numbers at Risborough fete
A PRIMARY school fete is thought to have made a record amount of money this year.
The annual Princes Risborough Primary School Fete was held on Saturday at the school in Wellington Avenue.
Co chair of the parents' association, Sam Fryer Ward, said: "It went really well. I was lovely weather and lots of people came along.
"There was really lovely atmosphere.
"There is no final total yet, but I think it might be a record year."
All money raised goes to the school.
The Taiko Drummers performed, who are key stage two pupils at the school and for the first time there was a small petting corner with a pony and small animals.
There was an auction, which made more than £300. An Ercol coffee table, a champagne flight on the London Eye, a six people tour around Daws Hill Vineyard, a skin voucher for Aurora Clinics, two hours of electrical services and a professionally made cake were auctioned off.
There was also a tug of war between parents and teachers, of which the parents were victorious.
Other activities, included a bouncy castle, a human demolition inflatable, games, beat the goalie, a coconut shy, tile painting, face painting, a barbecue and bar, cakes and refreshments, and tombolas.
