A Beaconsfield florist has teamed up with a national cake company to create a 3ft tall cake bouquet ahead of Valentine ’s Day.

Forever Green, in London End, has collaborated with Mr Kipling to create the giant “bou-cake” – made up of 80 roses alongside mini Battenburgs, cherry Bakewell and French fancies.

The 20kg took bouquet two people over 12 hours to put together and would cost £400, however the florist has created a selection of smaller bou-cakes ahead of February 14.

A Mr Kipling spokesman said: “For many years we’ve been mixing, baking and perfecting our exceedingly scrumptious cakes, so this Valentine’s Day we wanted to spread the love even further.

“As well as looking for something a bit different, over half of the people we spoke to also said they’d love to receive their favourite cake on the day of romance, so we wanted to create a unique gift with real wow factor to share with their special someone. We can’t wait to see everyone’s reaction.”
