A popular Chesham rapper will host his own show when a new community radio station takes to the airwaves in the near future.

Michael Kamara (aka Mikar the Vipar), from Pond Park, has had three consecutive songs in the iTunes World Chart and will host his own show on Chiltern Voice 87.9FM.

Last week almost 50 people attended a meeting at Chesham United Football Club after the station's organisers called for volunteers.

The Queens’ Head, Chesham, will be hosting a ‘race night’ on January 22 to raise funds for the station. Tickets are available by contacting the Queens’ Head.
