A woman was found dead at her flat a week after last being seen alive, an inquest heard.
The body of Teresa Mack was found at her flat in Melrose Court, High Wycombe on December 9 - a full week after she was last seen, by her doctor.
A cause of death could not be ascertained for the 68-year-old divorcee because her body had started to decompose, the inquest heard.
A toxicology examination failed to show anything, and there were no signs of Mrs Mack suffering any injuries from a third party, the inquest at Beaconsfield Coroner's Court heard.
Coroner Richard Hulett said he was left with no alternative other than to record an open verdict. He said: "We are never going to know any more."
