The embroiderer to the Duchess of Cambridge will create a decorative piece for a Beaconsfield church.

St Mary and All Saints Church is set to welcome Jenny Adin-Christie – a specialist embroiderer and textile artist whose techniques were used on Kate Middleton’s wedding dress in 2011 – to the town from July 19 to 21.

The church has also asked Ms Adin-Christie to design and make new altar frontals - decorative pieces to adorn altars, lecterns, pulpits, or tables.

Visitors will be able to watch the artist work as she creates the frontals, taking inspiration from the 800-year-old church.

She will also be giving a lecture about her work on Wednesday, July 20 at the church.

The open studio will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm on July 19, 11.30am to 4.30pm on July 20 and 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm on July 21.
