A popular south Bucks charity is encouraging people of all abilities to strap on their cycle helmets for its annual sponsored cycle ride through the beautiful scenery of the Chiltern Hills.

The popular Chilterns Cycle Challenge - organised by Rennie Grove Hospice Care - offers participants a choice of 10k, 35 mile or 75 mile routes in order to find their perfect pedalling challenge, with all routes to start and finish in Aylesbury town centre.

Online registration is now open with a special Family Entry offer available - £47 for a family of four for the 10k route only.

Last year, more than 500 people pedalled through the Chiltern Hills and around the cycle paths, together raising over £30,000 in sponsorship.

Gillian Barnett, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Rennie Grove Hospice Care said: "The Chilterns Cycle Challenge is a well-loved event.

"Much of its popularity is down to the fact that there’s a choice of three fantastic routes, so there’s something to suit everyone.

"Every penny you raise helps us give local patients with cancer or another life-limiting illness the choice to be cared for at home, surrounded by their friends and family.

"It’s great fun to take part in the Chilterns Cycle Challenge and we’d love to see even more team entries with groups of friends, family members and work colleagues joining in the fun."

Adult (aged 18+) entry for the 10k route is £17, for the 35 mile route it’s £20, and if you’re up for the ultimate challenge it’s £30 (if raising sponsorship) to cycle the 75 mile route (£45 if not raising sponsorship). Child entry (aged 5-17 incl) is £10 for the 10k route and children under five can enter free of charge.

The entry fee for the Chilterns Cycle Challenge includes a medal on completion and water along the route.
