A man from London has been jailed for four years after plain clothes police officers caught him dealing drugs in Chesham.
Nii Omane, 30, of Craven Park Road, London, was seen carrying out a drug deal at Honeysuckle Field, Chesham, on December 16, 2015.
He later returned to a property in the same street and when officers forced their way in, they found Omane with a large quantity of class A drugs.
He was convicted of one count of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, cocaine, and one count of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, heroin, at Amersham Crown Court on Monday (Feburary 6) and sentenced the next day.
He was convicted by a unanimous jury.
Investigating officer PC Antony Mee of Taplow Local CID, said: “This is a case of a drug dealer from London coming into the Thames Valley area to sell drugs to members of our community.
“The investigation into this offence took seven months and a further five months before the case came to trial.
“Omane denied any involvement in the drugs trade and gave false information to police throughout the trial.
“He has shown no remorse for his crimes and this sentence shows how seriously the courts take these type of offences.”
