Thousands of pounds was raised on Sunday as hundreds of runners took on the fifth annual Danesfield Dash 10k race.

The Danesfield Dash 10k and 1k races returned by popular demand on Sunday, April 30, with hundreds of runners enjoying the scenic Chilterns countryside between Henley and Marlow as they raised money for charity.

The challenging race is believed to have raised at least £7,000, with all proceeds going to Danesfield School.

Chris Lucas, of Reading Roadrunners, was the first male across the line with a time of 36 minutes and 11 seconds.

Rebecca Stearn was the first female racer to finish with a time of 43 minutes and five seconds.

Once the main race was finished, a junior race kicked off, with Harry Charles the first boy across the line and Amber Wharton the first girl.
