A school in Holmer Green opened its doors to more than 400 people to showcase art work made by creative pupils.

Holmer Green Senior School in Parish Piece highlighted student work in Art and Design, Textiles, Photography and Graphics to members of the public.

Some of the work showcased was produced by national competition winners Amy Buckle, Abbie Swallow, Sarah Edwards and Emily Shaw.

Amy, Emily and Abbie recently exhibited their work last week at the finals of “Young Fashion Designer of the year”, where they took part in high profile workshops led by famous fashion designers.

They also took part in rigorous interviews as part of the judging process and were three of only twelve finalists from the UK selection.

The art show came just days after the school celebrated receiving a 'Good' rating from Ofsted.

Annie Hearne, senior leader Creative Curriculum and head of art, said: “We are so proud of all the students. The quality of the exhibition leaves me speechless every year. The students deserve recognition and a chance to see their work properly curated.

"Each and every one of the students has worked tirelessly to achieve their best. I am really pleased that the exhibition was so well received by the public."
