A long and nervous wait came to an end for students at Sir William Ramsay School yesterday, and the celebrations can start as pupils celebrate another fantastic set of GCSE exam results.

Among the success stories at the High Wycombe secondary school was Terri Pearce, who achieved an impressive six A* grades and five As.

Elsewhere, Katie Freeman received three A*s, a Distinction Star and a further six As and Tim Rogers was awarded three A*s, five As and two Bs.

Head Mark Mayne said: “Following another set of exam board changes I am delighted with our results.

“58% of our students attained % A*-C grades including C grades in maths and English which is so important for their futures.

“This year we had several standout performances who achieved outstanding individual results.

“The results are a testament to the efforts of students, though I would like to add my thanks to staff and parents for the guidance and support offered.”
