Grieving friends have raised thousands of pounds in a bid to save a family pet which was badly injured in this week’s fatal crash on the Marlow Bypass.
Animal-loving mum Janice Swain, from High Wycombe, died in hospital less than 24 hours after she was involved in a pile-up on the A404, which her daughter Georgia and dog Peaches – who were also in the car – miraculously survived.
However, as family and friends struggle to come to terms with the tragic loss, kind-hearted strangers have shown their support to raise money to help treat the injured albino boxer.

Long-term family friend Christine Martin, said: “She desperately needs this operation to save her life.
“Georgia has lost her mum at a young age so we are asking you desperately to donate whatever you can to help cover the costs for peaches operation so she doesn’t lose her dog as well.”
Friends have set a £7,000 target to save the pet and have so far received just over £3,000 at the time of going to print.
Peaches was found in the road by another motorist following the crash and taken to a nearby veterinary surgery where they were able to reunite the pet and family together.
Ms Martin added: "We've all lost a very good friend and unless we helped raise the money the family face losing Peaches too."
