LEGALLY Blonde, The Musical is so much fun to watch with amazing music, which leaves you humming the previously unknown songs all the way home.

There is no doubt about it- the show is incredibly girlie with screeching girls, lots of pink and nice dresses but there is much more to this as the number of men in the audience showed.

The story follows Elle Woods, as she struggles to cope with being dumped by her boyfriend, Warner Huntington the Third. Determined to get him back she follows him to Harvard Law School where she manges to find her own way.

It is frivolous, light and absurd and that is what makes it so great. You get caught up in the glamour and excitement of the show, and surely that is what theatre is partly about.

But of course there is more to it than meets the eye. It is ridiculously funny and if you listen hard to the songs you hear some of the more brilliant lines.

The soundtrack is amazing. The songs were all written for the show but they are so catchy you leave the theatre singing them, even though you heard them only that night.

It also has a feel-good factor to it as Elle realises her own worth, with the help of good friends, and it is not just about the way she looks.

Faye Brooks is a brilliant Elle, never putting a foot wrong, and a constant professional even though she is on stage for the whole musical.

She works well with Iwan Lewis, who plays Emmett Forrest, and they make a great double-act.

Les Dennis is brilliant as the ruthless Professor Callahan and Claire Sweeney, who plays Paulette Buonufonte gets the most laughs and has an amazing singing voice.

Ray Quinn excels as Warner and you can see why he has made his mark in the West End.

Special mention, of course, has to go to the chihuahua Bruiser who did not put a paw wrong and who the audience loved.

The whole production is to a West End standard from the sets to the costumes to the acting and singing.
