THE Nags Head will keep its licence and be able to stage live music but has been warned that if there is a further review future activities could be stopped at the pub.
Last week there was a Licensing Panel Hearing at Wycombe District Council chambers to review The Nags Head licence after noise nuisance complaints.
The panel heard residents has complained on a number of occasions since April about the level of noise coming from the pub in London Road, after former tenants Maria Paesano and Marco Iorio took over.
Admiral Taverns, who have put the pub up for sale, have since removed the tenants.
It also heard there had been reports of alleged under age drinking and alleged drug taking on the premises, but these were unsubstantiated. (See below for related stories).
The decision notice has been released.
To prevent public nuisance a noise limiting device will be installed to control 'C' weighted low frequency noise and will be set at a level agreed by the Control of Pollution unit at Wycombe District Council.
There is also no entertainment to be held in the chill out area below the Blues Loft and a log will need to be made for regulated entertainment.
The panel want signs put up asking patrons to respect neighbours when leaving, no drinking outside the pub after 10pm and a direct line for local residents to report any noise concerns.
There are two conditions for the prevention of crime and disorder, which are to have no under 18 events taking place and no person under 18 is allowed at the pub after 10pm until the close of business.
The panel notice said: "The panel were concerned about the issues raised at the hearing in respect of noise nuisance and prevention of crime and disorder. They felt it appropriate to inform the Licence Holder that if any further Review is requested in respect of the premises, serious consideration would be given to the removal of permitted licensable activities from the licence and/ or reducing the permitted hours of regulated entertainment."
Admiral Taverns have the right to appeal. If they do not the conditions will come into place at the end of the appeal notice.
