Why do you love it?
The best thing about this pub is its fabulous food. The owner travels to Smithfield Market early in the morning and sources the ingredients fresh....Combine that with a relaxing decor, stylish beer garden and the occasional celebrity - it's an enjoyable lunch or night out.
How long have you been going there?
Have been going to the Crown about five years now. I’m normally floating around the cosy bar area, but also lunch occasionally in the restaurant.
What do you normally drink?
I’m afraid to admit it’s probably a nice coffee or hot chocolate with a tot of Baileys.
Any funny stories?
So many to choose from - we always seem to end up there after organising something for the village. One evening Guy the owner was making cocktails and it turns out he was trained by the same people who trained Tom Cruise for the film Cocktail....I ended up having to get a lift home after a few too many.
