A STORY of un-nerving revenge and intrigue is coming to High Wycombe this month.

The Stickleback Theatre Company is bringing its latest production, Blackbird, by David Harrower to the stage.

This Cheshire based Theatre Company captivated their audience in 2012 with the one woman play, Jordan, performed by High Wycombe born actress Sian Weedon.

Since the sell out performance in 2012 Jordan has been selected to take the prestigious stage of The Assembly Hall in Edinburgh for the highly acclaimed Fringe Festival. In Blackbird 15 years ago Una, played by Sian Weedon, and Ray, played by Chris Saunders, had a relationship.

They haven't set eyes on each other since. Now, years later, she's found him again. Ray is forced to confront his past when Una arrives unannounced at his place of work.

Directed by Gordon Hamlin and showing for one night only, Friday, May 24 at 8pm at Trinity United Reformed Church, London Road.

Tickets are £10 from 01628 483597 or visit www.sticklebacktheatre.co.uk
