1. HUGHENDEN Manor's Victorian Christmas opens this Sunday and runs until January 1 (it is not open on 24 and 25). See the manor decked out in a Victorian style Christmas with lots to see and do. Father Christmas will be at the manor during the weekends in December leading up to Christmas (starting on the 7th). There is also a chance to join a wreath making workshop on the 7 and 8 and 14 and 15. To add to this there are some Christmas performances throughout the month. Normal admission charges apply. 2. This Christmas, national charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People are decking the halls and inviting festive folk to their annual Christmas Market tomorrow (Saturday) at The Grange in Saunderton. The charity that trains dogs to support deaf people will be welcoming visitors out of the cold and into the warmth of the Hearing Dogs Puppy Hall, where they will be greeted with a glass of hot mulled wine and delicious mince pies.
The Christmas Market will be the perfect opportunity for guests to get all their Christmas shopping done early, with beautiful hand crafted gifts and stocking fillers on offer, as well as fun festive treats for faithful four legged friends. Visitors can meet and greet some of the charity’s young puppies who are currently going through puppy socialising and training with volunteers, whilst younger children will have the chance to meet Father Christmas himself and the life-sized hearing dog mascots Bruce and Beatrice. The festive fun starts from 11am to 4pm and all funds raised on the day will help Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

3. STOKENCHURCH village is holding its Christmas Fair tomorrow (Saturday) from 4 until 9pm at Kings Common. There will be real reindeer, Santa's grotto, two large marquees with a selection of stalls and many more attractions. There will also entertainment from a saxophone quartet and the church choir. All proceeds will go to Air Ambulance and The Child Bereavement Trust.

4. JOIN IN with a gloriumptious pre-Christmas event at The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre tomorrow (Saturday) as part of Great Missenden’s Christmas Evening from 4.30pm until 7.30pm. The Museum, Shop and Café Twit will be getting into the Christmas spirit as part of the village Christmas Evening. They will be open as usual from 11am, but from 4.30pm admission is free, so join in for storytelling, crafts, lots of fun and some great offers in the shop. Meet the Ugly Sisters from the Wycombe Swan’s pantomime who will be entertaining visitors in its courtyard or watch a performance of The Trunchbull Christmas Carol at 5.15pm.

5. THERE will be 2,000 Santas running and walking through Marlow this Sunday from 9am. The Santa's fun run is three miles long and starts and finishes in Higginson Park. Entries are closed but go along to join in the fun and cheer the runners on. All money raised goes to charity. It is run by the Rotary Club of Marlow.
