Christmas Late Night Event
Large Marquee with children from local schools performing seasonal songs. The Hospice 'Tree of light' will be switched on by senior nurse Jenny Spencer-Jones from The Florence Nightingale Hospice. Father Christmas will arrive on his sleigh. Shops will be open late, with maybe a mince pie or a glass of mulled wine to tempt you in! Christmas Street Market, with food, drink and Craft stalls. West Wycombe Festive Fayre.
Experience the festive celebrations in the beautiful and quaint setting of West Wycombe village. A wonderful opportunity to spend time with your family and friends and get into the Christmas spirit. Browse the stalls in the marquee and barn or sit back and enjoy the Chamber Choir and live band playing during the evening. Marlow Chamber of Commerce traditional late night shopping
Marlow Chamber of Trade and Commerce’s traditional late night shopping event takes place on Thursday evening. The High Street will be closed to traffic for charity and commercial stalls to line the pavements and many of Marlow’s town centre shops will also be open, offering many and varied ideas for gifts. There’ll be a carol service in the High Street, a Nativity scene - including animals - and Father Christmas will also be there in his grotto.

Lane End Christmas events
On the 6 the Christmas lights will be switched on at 6.30pm followed by a festive evening in the hall. The Twinning Association Arts and Craft Market is on December 7 from 10am to 3pm at the village hall then in the evening the association's Christmas dinner and dance to Whipjack runs from 7.30pm. Tickets are £25 which includes a three course dinner (Contact 07774408433 for tickets). Also on the 7th is the Lane End Primary School Christmas Fair with craft stalls from 1 to 4pm. There will be a Santa's Grotto, paint-a-gift, Secret Santa stall for children, a huge Tombola. And Lane End Youth and Community Centre will be holding a children's Christmas lunch with party games and a visit from Father Christmas on December 14 from 12 to 4pm. Hi-De-Hi!
The Marlow Players are proud to present the stage adaptation of this popular TV series, revisiting the 1950s and Maplins Holiday Camp with its host of colourful characters. It's the start of a new season. The winner of the annual Miss Yellowcoat competition will go to the new Maplins Camp in the Bahamas. Rivalry among the girls is fierce, particularly between Gladys and Sylvia. Peggy, the cleaning-lady, is desperate to fill the vacancy for a new yellowcoat. Ted Bovis is forced to employ even more dubious money-making schemes, to pay alimony to his formidable ex-wife. Yvonne and Barry Stuart-Hargreaves, the camp dancers, send the rumour mill into overdrive, when they hear Gladys escorting a drunken Jeffrey into his chalet one night. Hedgerley Historical Society
Bobbie Latter will present Marlow Town. This light-hearted talk accompanied by photos will take the form of an imaginary walk through Marlow, where the audience will hear about the history of the town and learn about the buildings passed along the way, such as churches, the suspension bridge, cottages, mansion houses and pubs. Chesham in Flood Photography Exhibition
Rare and historical photographs showing flooding in Chesham over the past 100 years. The exhibition has been organised by FloodSmart, a project aiming to increase awareness of flooding in Chesham and to help its residents be better prepared, as part of the Environment Agency's National Flood Awareness month.

Past Times exhibition
Pam Smith is putting on an exhibition about Naphill and Walters Ash. There will be a large collection of photos and records which she has collected over the last 30 to 40 years. Film 'More Than Honey'
Wycombe Friends of the Earth present a special showing of the thought-provoking and award-winning documentary More Than Honey. Directed by Oscar-nominated Markus Imhoof, and narrated by John Hurt, the film looks at the vital mutually dependent relationship between mankind and honeybees, the reasons for the current bee crisis and what might happen if our bees disappeared. The Chiltern Camerata
Themed ‘Britten & Friends’ the first concert showcases the music of Benjamin Britten and some of his major influencers. The stand-out work will be Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings.  This haunting work is the Camerata’s tribute to Britten in the 100th anniversary year of his birth.  It brings a return of tenor Bene’t Coldstream in the vocal role.  Bene’t has delighted Camerata audiences in previous performances.  The orchestra is joined for the virtuoso solo horn part by Keith Maries, who will emulate the legendary Dennis Brain by performing on a 19th century French Raoux ‘natural’ instrument. Marlow Music Makers Choir
Founded in July 2009, Marlow Music Makers offers programmes of lively music which may include popular songs from around the 1920s up to the present day along with appropriate musical numbers played by their own musicians. This is the Choir’s Christmas concert, with money raised going to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. The Snow Queen

Aladdin
