1. TERRY Pratchett's agent, Colin Smythe, will be talking to audiences at the High Wycombe Library today (Friday) at High Wycombe Library in the Eden Centre. The publisher and literary agent will talk about his time working with the author of the Discworld novels. It runs from 4 to 5pm and is a free event. It is part of National Storytelling week, with another event called New Beginnings: The History Behind The Fiction

2. DANCE the night away at the Prestwood Charity Rock and Blues Concert tomorrow at 8pm. This is a charity rock and blues concert in aid of Cancer Research UK and in memory of local musician Mike Turner. The event features performances by Broken Wheel, Shaky Ground, BBZ Allstars, Jim Maving and other great local musicians. 3. JOIN in with the Snowdrop Walk at West Wycombe Park this Sunday from 12pm in aid of Child Bereavement UK. It is a special day to remember the babies and children who have died and the children who are bereaved each year. There will be snowdrop planting and a rhyming create hunt for children (£1 to play). Refreshments and hot food will be served in the village hall at the end of the walk. There will also be some children’s activities taking place including colouring and puzzle building. 4. THE Royal British Legion in High Wycombe is holding a Chinese New Year celebration this Sunday from 12.15pm. There will be an outdoor display of the Lion Dance and the distribution of lucky packets. People can then go inside the legion in St Mary Street for a Chinese meal. 5. THERE is a wind band open workshop this Sunday from 10am at the Wycombe Music Centre in Millbrook School, High Wycombe. It is an open workshop for adults 16+ who play wind, brass or percussion instruments. An ideal opportunity for beginners, those returning to music and those taking up a new instrument.
