1. THE High Wycombe Choral Society's 80th birthday summer concert is this Saturday, with conductor Stephen Armstrong and Colin Spinks on piano. The programme will include John Rutter's Birthday Madrigals; Rachmaninov's Prelude in G Minor; Ivor Gurney and Roger Quilter's 3 Songs; Beethoven's Spring Sonata 1st movement; Elgar's Partsongs and Graigner's Londonderry Air. 2. THERE is a Hazeldene Farm Annual Sheep Shearing Day, Food and Craft Fair on Sunday at 11am at Hazeldene Farm, Asheridge Road, Chesham. Watch the sheep shearers hard at work. All usual activities are available including their food and craft fair and children’s activities and look out for some traditional woolly surprises. 3. JOIN in with Chiltern Music Therapy Beer and Music Festival tomorrow Saturday at The Black Horse pub in Great Missenden. It starts at 12pm and runs until midnight. There’s a family focus during the day with a bouncy castle, rides, stalls, face painting and music workshops, plus a chill out zone with chair massages. Then once the sun goes down a wide selection of local bands will take to the stage for a non stop party. Throughout the event, the Black Horse will be manning the BBQ and offering a tempting selection of real ales and ciders to keep things swinging. Tickets: £3 (babes in arms free).

4. ON Sunday see the magical secret garden of Keith and Jacky Howkins. In 1986 one of the couple's three children became seriously ill with diabetes. They created a garden designed in an Italian style to raise money for charity and to provide somewhere for their son to enjoy. They are holding an open day this Sunday from 1 to 6pm at 28, Manor Gardens, off Coates Lane in Hughenden, High Wycombe. All money raised will go to Diabetes UK and Wycombe Hospital. 5. PRINCES Risborough Festival kicks off tomorrow (Saturday) with a street parade starting at 1.30pm. Then there will be an afternoon of fun activities at Wades Park, aimed at young families. In the evening there is a James Bond spectacular at the community centre and on the Sunday there is a chocolate hunt on Whiteleaf Hill from 1pm.
