1. THE Kop Hill Climb is back in Princes Risborough this weekend. Relaunched in 2009 the popular motoring event attracted 15,000 visitors last year. More than 400 motors will rally up the Kop Hill over the two days. There are also plenty of things to do for the family. Gates open at 9am and runs up the hill start at 9.45am. 2. THIS weekend head to Hughenden Manor for a 1940s theme. The annual living history weekend captures all the nostalgia of war-time Britain. Now in its ninth year, the popular extravaganza will feature a wide range of exhibitions and demonstrations and bring the 1940s era to life with music, song, and dancing. Visitors are encouraged to wear period clothing or costume and join in the fun. Refreshments, including 1940s-style dishes, will be available and the shop will feature a selection of heritage and nostalgic items. Admission to Hughenden is £9.40 per adult for the house and grounds. Discounted rates are offered for families and children. Free entry for National Trust members.

3. THE Wycombe Environment Centre relaunches this weekend in its new home at the Chilterns Shopping Centre in High Wycombe. It will be formally re-opened by the chairman of Wycombe District Council, Lesley Clarke at 11am on Saturday. Everyone is invited to visit. The reception area houses a beautiful bird exhibition. Children love the RSPB toy birds that sing their songs, when squeezed. There will be leaflet displays: beautiful local walks, local eco groups plus an exhibition describing seven facets of sustainable living. Wycombe Environment Centre is a charity, currently run only by volunteers, with the trustees, under the leadership of Frances Alexander, taking responsibility for the direction, finance and organisation.

4. THE Marlow Food Festival takes place this Sunday at the Macdonald Compleat Angler. The hotel's new head chef, Michael Lloyd, will be demonstrating in the cookery theatre as will Michelin starred chef Adam Simmonds formerly from Danesfield House. Now in its sixth year, the highly popular, free entry festival highlights what is new and exciting in the foodie world as well as offering a chance to experience new tastes and buy delicious products. There will also be around 30 stalls offering a variety of tasty delights to try and buy. It runs on Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

5. THE Target Human Performance centre in Amersham is holding a family day on Sunday to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Their guest for the day will be James Haskell, England Rugby player, who will be leading a circuits class. They will also be holding non-stop spin classes, a barbecue, garden games and facepainting for the kids, and a special auction including items such as a Chris Froome signed Sky cycle jersey, Kevin Pieterson signed cricket bat, England Rugby team signed shirt, a Jessica Ennis signed athletics shirt and Tom Daley signed polo shirt.
