Kevin Hart and Josh Gad have revealed they failed miserably when they were asked to be best men.
The stars of new comedy The Wedding Ringer, which sees Josh playing a groom-to-be who hires a professional best man (Kevin’s character), admitted disaster struck when they took on groomsmen duties in real life.
“We’re both fairly similar in that we both dropped the ball,” Josh said.
“When you’re too busy and you forget to invite people to a bachelor party, it turns out that’s not a great thing. I planned it, and I forgot to invite all the other friends.”
Kevin added: “At least I wasn’t that bad. But I definitely want to apologise to my friend, because I didn’t know I was responsible for everything.
“I took him out, we went to dinner, and he was like, ‘What’s next? What else are we going to do tonight?’ I said, ‘You tell me’. I didn’t know I was meant to plan that, so we both ended up watching Die Hard.”
The Wedding Ringer marks the first time the pair have worked together.
“This is actually some of the most fun I’ve ever had on a movie. I wasn’t prepared to enjoy the experience. It was dope,” Frozen star Josh said.
“Kevin is one of the funniest human beings I have ever met in my life. He’s always, always, always making me laugh. Even when he shouldn’t be. So we ruin a lot of takes, generally…”
Kevin added: “Josh is cool. He’s a funny guy and a great actor. He’s a trained thespian, and this is a guy who’s put years and time into his craft, from Broadway to television, and now he’s doing it on the big screen.”
