HIGH Wycombe’s Fourways Theatre Company is saying goodbye to its fifth young actor to a professional career in the last 12 months.

The latest is Jack Greene, of High Wycombe who has successfully auditioned and been accepted by the Disney Corporation to perform at Disney Land Paris.

This is the culmination of a lot of hard work and success for Jack. He recently completed his Performing Arts course at Amersham & Wycombe College, where he was awarded Triple Distinction Star.

Jack first joined Fourways three years ago, when he appeared in the company’s production of The History Boys.

He said: "Fourways is a great way of getting into acting; actually doing it."

"It helped me in understanding characters and working on their relationships. It was great working together with other members of Fourways, if I was stuck on something I’d go up and ask and everyone was really supportive and helpful".

Jack was in the middle of rehearsals for Fourways October production, The Madness of George III by Alan Bennett, but has had to give up his role in order to start his new job.

Out of four hundred auditioning, Jack was one of the successful applicants.

He said "We were given our songs and music, every eight beats we had to change character, one minute I was a cowboy, the next I was a villain.

"We had to put a huge amount of effort into it. It’s a great opportunity."

The Madness of George III is at the Wycombe Swan's Town Hall from October 17 to 19 at 8pm. Tickets are £14, with £2 off for concessions, from 01494 512000 or www.wycombeswan.co.uk
