A retro rock festival will take place in Cookham this weekend, with revellers enjoying throwback music from the likes of 80’s legends, the Human League, Sinitta and Jason Donovan.

Let’s Rock the Moor is returning for its eighth year to Marsh Meadow on Saturday, May 21 following seven sell out runs.

Hue and Cry, Aswad, Black Box, Chesney Hawkes, Katrina, Cutting Crew, Johnny Hates Jazz, Belinda Carlisle and Jimmy Somerville will also be welcomed on to the main stage.

As well as music for the adults, children can enjoy the Let's Rock! Playpen with circus workshops, face painting, crafts, tricycles and disco shack.

Carters Steam Fair will also return, along with multiple bars and food stalls.

This year the festival will welcome an increased police presence and extensive traffic management programme much to the relief of village residents.

This followed complaints from previous years after the streets were left in gridlock following the festival, leading to arguments between motorists.

Tickets are still available at www.letsrockthemoor.com for tickets and more information.
