Passers-by helped rescue a swan that had got trapped on Marlow Bridge this morning.
Marlow resident, Paula Sims, said it is now "not just lorry drivers" who have got stuck on the bridge, after spotting the bird while on the school run to Bisham School.
On her return across the bridge, Ms Sims saw the swan had got "stuck" between the railings.
She said: "He had obviously landed short of the river, a few passers-by did stop and said it could probably sort itself out, but for a swan to fly it needs a run up.
"Me and another mum took our coats off and decided to try and walk him off the bridge and behind the rowing club back into the river."
Thames Valley Police confirmed they received a report that a swan was in the road at 8.53am and went along to the scene to assist.
Ms Sims, with the help of other "kind" walkers on the bridge, managed to coax the "tired" swan back into the river uninjured.
