A lorry has been left with burst tyres this morning after the driver attempted to cross the weight-restricted Marlow Bridge.

The lorry - with P&O Ferrymasters emblazoned on the side - had to stop when its tyres blew out on the bridge's width restrictions.

Police are on the scene and the HGV driver has managed to reverse the lorry away from the bridge, according to eye-witnesses.

The incident comes less than a year after the bridge - which has a three-tonne weight limit - reopened after a two-month closure when a 37-tonne HGV tried to cross it.
