RESIDENTS will be asked for their opinions on policing in a scheme that will see almost 900,000 households be given information leaflets.
A summary of policing in the Thames Valley is set to be delivered to homes next month.
People in Bucks will have a 12-page booklet containing information on the activities of police and the Thames Valley Police Authority during last year.
Christine Weston, chairman of Thames Valley Police Authority, said: "Posting them through the door gives us an opportunity to get into the homes of people throughout the region and show the public what policing in Thames Valley is about.
"It allows us to tell the public what we have been doing and ask them if they are happy with the way we have carried out our responsibilities.
"The public are our customers and we need to know from them what we are doing well, what we are doing badly and how they would like us to improve.
"I would urge people to read the summaries and decide whether we are doing a good job."
The policing summaries are a statutory requirement for the authority to produce.
