A 52-YEAR-OLD man injured in a car accident on Friday will need to have surgery, police have said.
The pedestrian, a French national, was seriously hurt in a collision with a black Vauxhall Astra in Amersham High Street at 5.14pm.
He was taken to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital with injuries to his lower body and is described as being in a stable condition, although he will have to undergo several operations.
The driver of the car, a 22-year-old man, was uninjured but left shaken following the incident.
Thames Valley Police has today launched an appeal for witnesses to the collision.
