A 16-YEAR-OLD boy suffered facial injuries after being assaulted by a group of six to eight men in a High Wycombe park.

The teenager was assaulted in Kingsmead Park at about 4pm on Friday December 21 after being approached by the group.

He sustained bruising to his face and head in the assault, but did not require hospital treatment. Nothing was stolen.

Thames Valley Police have today made an appeal for witnesses to come forward. Officers investigating say there were a number of people in the park at the time, including a few dog walkers, and police are appealing for anyone who saw the assault or the attackers to contact them.

Anyone with any information should contact PC Dawn Waterman on 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
