CASH was stolen during a break-in at the Marlow Royal British Legion club.

Burglars smashed a window to force their way into the club, in Station Approach, before making off with the money.

The incident happened at 11.45pm on Sunday December 30 but details of the offence have only been released by Thames Valley Police this morning.

An appeal for information has today been launched by officers investigating the break-in.

Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously around the building, or who has any information about the burglary, should contact PC Andrew Hall on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
