POLICE have charged a 17-year-old with common assault after an incident in Monday night's Wycombe Wanderers game at Gillingham.
The teenager, from Rochester, has also been charged by Kent Police with an offence under Section 4 of the Football Offences Act, which forbids people entering the field of play.
He was arrested during the game and charged by officers last night. He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday March 12.
The youth is alleged to have assaulted Wanderers goalkeeper Jordan Archer in injury time of the game, which Blues won 1-0.
