A FURTHER £150,000 has been pledged towards the redevelopment of Handy Cross.

A £30million sports centre revamp by Wycombe District Council is set to take shape later this year.

On Monday night the Cabinet approved extra funding for the phase two of the infrastructure, comprising the remainder of a spine road and the coachway park and ride.

Leader Cllr Alex Collingwood, from Marlow, said: "We have the physical money and the important thing is to get the whole scheme developed, that we don't do it piecemeal but in fact it is done as a master plan."

The overall project also comprises a business park.
