WYCOMBE Wanderers face a High Court hearing after HM Revenue and Customs issued a winding up petition against the football club.
The hearing will take place on March 25 after the taxman initiated a winding up procedure against the cash-strapped club on February 11.
The club said in a statement this evening: "Wycombe Wanderers can confirm that HMRC have advertised the club's overdue taxes.
"The club are working with HMRC to settle this amount and matters are progressing towards an amicable and workable end.
"As stated previously, the club had great difficulty releasing funds held within the assets owned by Wycombe Wanderers Trust via Frank Adams Legacy Limited, but these are now being unwound and will allow the club to operate with ample working capital."
Wanderers look set to sell their training ground to a consortium of fans for £350,000 in a bid to fill a financial black hole.
The club's Supporters Trust said recently £250,000 was needed quickly to stave off an immediate threat of administration, while members have also set up a donation scheme that enables fans to give £10 a month to the club.
