A 20-YEAR-OLD man was knocked out after being punched in the face by a car driver who had just confronted him.

The victim needed hospital treatment for head injuries sustained in the attack, which took place at about 1.10am on Saturday April 27.

He was walking up Amersham Hill, High Wycombe, with a female work colleague when a car drove past the couple slowly and a remark was shouted from inside the car.

The car then pulled up ahead of the couple as they crossed Totteridge Road and the driver got out of the car, approached the victim and punched him in the face.

Thames Valley Police have today launched an appeal for wintesses to the assault.

They describe the offender as Asian with dark coloured skin, in his mid- twenties, 5ft 9ins tall, with dark short hair and of a chubby build. He was wearing a dark pair of jeans with a light coloured T-shirt.
