A YOUNG girl was plied with alcohol and drugs, and repeatedly raped and sexually abused by a group of ten men for almost five years, a court heard.

The High Wycombe girl was just 11 when she was allegedly groomed and sexually abused by Iblal Fiaz, Oxford Crown Court was told.

Jurors were told today how the youngster believed she was in a relationship with Fiaz who forced her to perform sexual acts on his brother Khasim and at least eight other men.

She was fed a cocktail of drugs and alcohol, threatened, and forced to take part in group sex sessions in cars, woodland, a hotel and residential properties in the Castlefield area and near Marlow, the court heard.

The jury of seven men and five women were also told Khasim Fiaz “took over his brother’s role” while Iblal was marrying his wife in Pakistan. The alleged abuse took place between 2007 and 2012.

In her opening submissions, Eleanor Laws QC for the prosecution said: “In 2007 they (Iblal Fiaz and the alleged victim) had sex for the first time - she regarded him as her boyfriend...she described him as her rock.

“Once he had gained her confidence Iblal Fiaz introduced her to alcohol and drugs, and soon after to sex with other men. It was not in the end difficult to get her to perform sexual acts upon or with others.

“She will explain how she was often so affected by drink or drugs that she was in no state to refuse, and at other times she was threatened.

“You will also hear how she often felt that she had no other choice but to go through with whatever was asked of her because she felt so worthless.

“You will hear how time and again she met up with Iblal Fiaz knowing that she would be required to have sex with others.”

The jury heard how the girl was referred to a psychiatrist in 2007 after her school attendance dropped. By 2010 she was “indulging in self destructive behaviour” and self-harmed.

She was referred to R-U-Safe and divulged some information to a councillor, who called in Thames Valley Police and social services.

The trial continues tomorrow, when the girl is expected to give evidence.

Iblal Fiaz, Khasim Fiaz and the other defendants - Ammar Rafiq, Mohammed Adnan, Mudassar Hussain, Jubrion Khan, Khasim Dadd, Rameez Ali, Janaid Sharif, Asif Hussain - deny the charges against them.
