DONATIONS have been given to a High Wycombe charity after it was broken into.
The Out of the Dark studios in Oakridge Road were broken into between May 22 and 23.
Two computers and tools were stolen from the charity, which helps train young people to re salvage pieces of furniture.
Following an article on the BFP website and our sister paper, The South Bucks Star, the charity has since received donations to help recuperate the loss.
Jade Blades, who runs the project with her husband, Jay, said £50 has come from Soroptimist International, which is an organisation for women in management and the professions.
The Rotary Club of Marlow donated £300 and 4C is looking into helping find new computers from the businesses they work with.
Jade said they are grateful for the donations, which came from people who had read the piece.
She added: "It has been difficult without computers. We have had to but a new drill.
"I think there is insurance on the sanders so we are working on that."
Otherwise she said it is business as usual.
Out of the Dark teaches creative and practical skills, to help disadvantaged young people become job ready. They work on projects to salvage iconic pieces of furniture, which are then sold, some to as far afield as Dubai.
Police spokesman, Rebecca Webber, said: "Between 9.30pm on Wednesday, May 22 and 9am on Thursday, May 23, offenders forced the door leading to the workshop of a charity in Oakridge Road, High Wycombe, and stole two computers and tools. "Anyone who has any information about the incident should contact PC Edmund Blackburn on the non-emergency number, 101."
