NO, it's not Sean Connery. The name's Wilson. John Wilson.

Following our pictures of Star reader Mike Race last month who bore an uncanny resemblance to the actor immortalised as the original James Bond, another lookalike has been brought to our attention.

Michelle Wilson of Roundwood Road, High Wycombe, thinks her father-in-law John Wilson is the spitting image of the suave Scottish actor.

She said: "He's often stopped and stared at for long periods of time by people who mistake him for Sean Connery."

John, 72 - four years Connery's junior - says that in recent years, as he has grown to look increasingly like the star, people have often done 007 takes when passing him in public.

He said: "Once or twice on holiday abroad people have stared at me or come up to me to ask me about him or tell me I look like him. Some fellas I used to play golf with used to call me Sean and make Bond jokes."

John, a retired glass decorator, moved to Newcastle with his wife Irene from Bracknell eight years ago.

Michelle said: "I think he's quite chuffed with the comments. Irene loves it, she thinks it's fun. I think she wishes she was really married to James Bond. But John's a charming, lovely man."

Although a fan of Sean's films, John says the original Bond is no longer his favourite. "He used to be. I thought Pierce Brosnan was better, but after seeing the latest one, Daniel Craig is so good. He's believable as a tough guy. In fight scenes you really believe that he can do it. I was impressed."
