A POPPY appeal fraudster has been reported to police.
Officers are warning residents to be wary after The Royal British Legion had a report of someone in Marlow purporting to be from the poppy appeal collecting house to house.
Volunteers do not go door to door and the RBL in Marlow has not issued any house to house licences.
House to house collectors should be in possession of a licence when collecting, the RBL warned residents.
Kevin Read, Neighbourhood Sergeant, said: "I’d like to remind people to be cautious when they receive door to door callers.
" If in doubt they should ask for ID which they should be carrying. If they have any suspicions about the person then call the police on 101."
