PUPILS performed a concert of pop music at a church in Cadmore End.

A company called Pop Uk went to Cadmore End C of E School for a week to rehearse a range of songs.

They are a national children’s charity who use the power of pop music to get children involved in making their own pop music to sell CDs to raise money for their own school or other charities.

Headteacher Lisa Fern said the songs are specially written for Pop UK. She said: "They are all based around a value and good morals for life."

Mrs Fern said the children have found it challenging but added: "They absolutely shone and really loved it. It has been very popular."

The project is also intended to strengthen community links as residents were also invited to the concert as St Mary le Moor Church in the village.
