A BEVY of authors gathered at a library last week to chat to readers and their peers about experiences in the world of literature.
Beaconsfield Library played host to its regular ‘In Conversation with Local Authors’ day on Thursday to give people the chance to quiz the writers on all aspects of their work.
Claire Trevien, a poet recently nominated for a top literary award, was one of the guests alongside Penelope Evans, Dorothy Griffiths and Geoffrey Gudgion.
Beaconsfield Mayor Sandy Saunders also joined the group, which discussed routes into writing and tips on getting work published.
Carolin Ing, senior library assistant, said: “We enjoyed an informal, interesting and inspiring morning with our four local authors.
“There were lots of questions and discussions along with coffee and biscuits which led to a casual and informative event.
“We have had some lovely comments from people that it was an inspiration for authors and great to be able to ask questions that were helpfully replied to.”
