THE disaster caused by the Phillipines typhoon has led to thousands of pounds of donations from Marlovians.
An emergency street collection took place on Saturday outside Sainsbury’s and Waitrose and Higginson Park.
Members of the Rotary Club of Marlow and the Rotary Club of Marlow Thames collected cash, raising £5,920 to send Shelter boxes, including water purification and mosquito nets.
Rotarian Lance Slater said: "We wish to thank everyone in Marlow for responding so well as they always do in a crisis. It was a great team effort put together at very short notice."
