A HOUSEHOLDER interrupted an attempted burglary at her home in High Wycombe on Monday.

At 11pm two men tried to gain entry to a bungalow in Hick Farm Rise by reaching through a partially open window and releasing the catch on the larger window.

The men were disturbed by the victim, who heard a noise at her bedroom window.

On opening her curtains the victim was confronted by two men who said they were looking for someone called Jenny.

Both men were white. The first offender is described as being between 19 and 25 years of age, about 6ft with short, dark curly hair. He was wearing a light coloured top and spoke with an Irish accont.

The second man is described as being between 14 and 16 years of age, tall and gangly. He was wearing a red tracksuit top and a red woollen hat.

They did not enter the property and nothing was stolen.

Anyone who saw these men in the area around this time or has any information about the incident should call the Thames Valley Police 24-hour non-emergency single number 101 and ask to speak to PC Paul Reading from High Wycombe CID.

If you don't want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
