What did the staff at the Crowne Plaza (which is incredibly close!) have to say about it?

I was driving north on the A404 at about the time that photo looks to have been taken (approx. 16:15-20). I have never seen anything like it!

I usually come off there and go to Handy Cross to avoid the queues on the A404 onto the roundabout.

Doesn't say so elsewhere in the paper - did he kill himself in shame over his Crowne Plaza review?

I have just done some research on the Fire Brigade website and I find that Marlow Fire Station is a retained station meaning the firemen have to be called out from their homes or jobs and live/work within 5 minutes of the fire station. Probably a cost cutting exercise to send full timers and not retained. I also noted that the fire boat previously kept at Marlow Fire Station was transferred to Beaconsfield Fire Station on 4th December 2009. Now that does make a lot of sense to move a Fire Boat away from the river, where it is most likely to be needed, to a place where there isn't a river!! Only if you have ½ a brain if you ask me.
