A FLOWERBED will bring a touch of colour to Marlow once the winter is over after a sponsor was found to tend to the roadside plot.
Motorists entering Marlow over the bridge from this spring will see a new bank of flowers at Tierney Court.
Marlow Town Council has agreed a deal with an as-yet unnamed sponsor to tend to the flowerbed as the town gears up to be judged on its blooming surroundings this summer.
There are plans to auction off other areas for sponsorship in a bid to save money on maintenance and brighten up the town.
Volunteers are also being sought to help give Marlow a spruce-up once the winter gloom has passed, with councillors holding high hopes of success in the annual Best Kept Village and Britain in Bloom competitions.
