AN 80-YEAR-OLD man has been found guilty of raping and indecently assaulting a young girl over a period of nearly a decade - and his partner was convicted of aiding and abetting the offences.
Jurors at Amersham Crown Court found Aubrey Mitchell guilty of two counts of rape and one of indecent assault on Friday.
His partner, 68-year-old Mary Goscombe, was convicted of being an aider and abettor to rape and of a charge of cruelty to a person under 16. She was cleared of another charge of aiding and abetting.
The couple, both of Bookerhill Road, High Wycombe, will be back in court on Monday, March 10 for sentencing.
