AMERSHAM has been named as the best place to live in the south east by a national newspaper.
Judges at the Sunday Times said the Chilterns market town was the most desirable place to live in the south east of England.
It took its place on the list of the 101 best places to live in Britain.
The Yorkshire town of Skipton was judged the most desirable place to live in the country due to its proximity to the Yorkshire Dales, a number of well performing schools and low house prices.
Newnham near Cambridge took the silver medal, Monmouth on the English/Welsh border came third and Falmouth in Cornwall was voted fourth on the list.
