A NEW Fencing Course is being launched at the Beacon Sports Centre in Beaconsfield to encourage children to learn a new skill and keep fit during the Easter Holiday.

The course for eight to 14 year olds starts on Thursday, May 8, at 6.30pm.

Elayne Hughes, Community Engagement Officer at Better, said: "Fencers will learn how to hold a foil, footwork, blade work, how to attack and defend. They will learn all the tactics needed in a modern fencing bout."

Coach, Jacky Faulkner, will be taking the fencers through a comprehensive induction. Jacky said: “Fencing is a great way to have fun, make new friends, find focus and eliminate stress”
